U10 and U11 Hockey v Rye St Antony
U11 and U10 Hockey v Rye St Antony – Monday 9th March
U11B: Lost 4-3
Player of the match: Lottie
The U11B team played some great Hockey showing good pace when attacking. They stormed into a 3-1 lead at half time but were complacent in the second half. Rye bounced back and Headington were not able to clear their lines. A very close game – well played everyone.
U10A: Won 4 – 3
Player of the match: Olive
This was an exciting game of Hockey with the ball going from end to end at times. Rye were a player short, so some of the Headington team played for Rye – in fact Olive scored for Rye! With some strong tackles by Natasha, the team were pretty solid in their defending. Chrissy, Elsa and Olive were a force to be reckoned with up front and the U10A team got into a 4-1 lead. In the last 3 minutes, Rye scored two very quick goals, but Headington held on for the victory.
