Synagogue Visit
On Wednesday 4th March Year 4 visited the synagogue in Jericho, Oxford. The trip was organised as part of their study of Judaism in Religious Education. The synagogue is an amazing place of worship and the girls were keen to learn all about it and asked our guide, Sarah, lots of interesting questions. They learned about when the synagogue was first built, who attends the services that take place inside, what people wear and about the Torah scrolls which looked magnificent, covered in beautifully embroidered colourful velvet inside the Ark. All in all an excellent visit.
