Handing over the baton
While Headington’s school community are not able to be together physically, girls have been doing their best to maintain some of the School’s favourite traditions.
Usually the Summer Term sees our Prefect Handover assembly, with outgoing prefects handing over a book of tips, tricks and advice for the new incumbent.
In the absence of a physical assembly, our outgoing trio, Head Girl Georgie Cutmore, Head of Day Teresa Macey-Dare and Head of Boarding Katherine Pango recorded a short message to their successors, Milly Drinkwater, Alexia Roberts and Juliet Barnard. The new trio also recorded messages and they virtually received their prefect books.
Each of the girls spoke touchingly about their time at Headington and about the student they would be handing over to or taking over from.
The new trio have been hugely involved in keeping the community together online, devising a series of challenges and sending out regular messages.
