Girl wins gold for german essay
A Headington linguist has been recognised for her languages writing talent after winning a national competition.
Michaela (U5), was awarded first prize in her category in the Original Writing Competition in German, run by the Independent Schools’ Modern Languages Association.
With entries from across the UK, the judges were very impressed by her essay on the extent to which Germany should take in refugees. She also submitted a stunning entry in French.
Head of Modern Languages Mr Jonathan Marshall said: “This was a very fitting end to her GCSE languages courses and a well-deserved result. Well done!”
