Christmas Fractals

Headington’s L4 mathematicians have been investigating fractals during their end of term enrichment lessons this year.

Using resources from Think Maths, the girls have looked at Sierpinski triangles, Koch curves and Menger sponges with some fantastic results.

Mrs Sarah Sandys, Head of Maths, said: “We hope to build a whole year group Christmas tree with a base and accompanying snowflakes!”

The final finished tree will be displayed in Pi block, home to Headington’s Maths Department, in the final week of term.
