Headington Equestrian Team at Royal Berkshire College
The Headington School Equestrian Team took part in the National Schools Equestrian Association event on Sunday 16th May at Royal Berkshire College.
Headington girls Cecily (U3) riding Rocket and Summer (Year 4) riding Yogi Bear entered the 75cm and 85cm show-jumping rounds against teams from schools across the South East of England. The indoor course comprised 11 jumps with horse and rider timed in a sprint between the fifth and 11th jump.
Both Cecily and Summer rode clear rounds in both events and individual times were recorded. Out of a competitive field of nearly 60 riders, Summer placed eighth and 36th and Cecily 16th and 23rd in the 75cm and 85cm respectively – an outstanding achievement!
