Cricket Masterclass
On Wednesday 19th May, Headington’s U4 girls had the opportunity to experience a Cricket masterclass day.
The girls were lucky enough to have three coaches from the Oxfordshire Cricket Board (OCB) join the PE staff in helping to deliver a carousel of skill schools. The various skill stations included bowling, batting, wicket keeping, fielding and tactics and strategies for game play.
Mrs Sarah Huggins, Director of Sport at Headington School said: “Our U4 pupils worked incredibly hard through a long morning of putting their skills to the test.
“After a glorious BBQ outside everyone was refuelled for house cricket in the afternoon. Unfortunately, the weather lived up to its unpredictable nature as of late and we had a big thunderstorm coming across our fields which meant we sadly had to postpone our house cricket. We look forward to being able to deliver this later in the term.”
