South Oxfordshire Cross Country Championships 2023
Saturday 25th Februrary 2023
Congratulations to all the runners who came out on a cold but sunny Saturday morning to race in the South Oxfordshire Cross Country Championships. With 51 runners (and 9 sets of sisters!) Headington had the largest number of competitors from any school. The first three runners from each age group were as follows:
Year 1 race Sophie L was 3rd, Abby L 4th and Rowena in 5th.
Year 2 race Jesca was 2nd, followed by Ariana in 6th and Amber in 10th.
Year 3 race Alice MY was 3rd, Olivia M was 9th and Ellie T was 10th The team placed 2nd.
Year 4 race Kitty MY 2nd=, followed by Martha in 17th and Jemima in 22nd. The team placed 5th
Year 5 race Emma T finished in 1st, Liv in 5th and Isobel M in 6th. The team placed 1st.
Year 6 race Abby K 5th, Lily in 7th, Jessica in 13th. The team placed 3rd
Although it is the top three places that count towards the cups all the Headington runners should be very proud of their performances. Overall Headington were placed 2nd. Thank you to all the parents for their support too!
