U11 Football team through to the South Finals!
National League Trust South Regional Under 11s Football Cup

After winning the Oxfordshire round, Headington Prep School got the opportunity to represent Oxford City in the regional round of the competition in Bath. The girls even got to wear Oxford City football kits! It was a wet and blustery day but they didn’t let that dampen their spirits! Results below:
1) Headington 0 v Havant & Waterlooville 0
2) Headington 0 v Hereford 0
3) Headington 0 v Bath 0
After three straight draws, they knew they needed to start winning games to reach the regional final.
4) Headington 2 v Havant & Waterlooville 0
5) Headington 1 v Bath 0
6) Headington 0 v Hereford 1
The last victory against Bath put them into the final with nine points from six games.
The final vs Hereford was a closely fought game with chances at both ends. In the end, Hereford ground out a 1-0 win and Headington Prep finished second in the tournament.
As the girls were collecting their runners up medals, they learnt that they had qualified for the South Finals, which take place in Slough on the 18th April.
