Over 30 runners from Headington School (Senior and Prep) took part in the Oxford Town and Gown Junior 3K. The race was set in the grounds of Summerfields School. The event started with a mass warm-up and then the participants lined up at the start. Despite a busy start and a tumble for some, all the runners were soon up and going. The emphasis of the day was on a run, rather than a race however the Headington girls were excited to come away with two trophies. Maia was the winner of the trophy in the 12-13 age group and Elsa in the 14-15 age group. In the 9-11 category, Elsa was the first Headington runner home. In the Prep School, the first three girls across the line were Dana F, Lily M and Emily D. It was lovely to see 200 runners taking part especially as it was the first event for over a year for many of them. Thank you to all the parents who helped out and cheered on all the runners too!
