A Level Dance Workshop
On Thursday 23rd September, Headington’s A Level dancers took part in a two-hour practical technique class with Headington’s Dance Academy practitioner Shaun Dillon.
Shaun pushed the girls with a physical strength and conditioning warm up, leading into the dancers learning two Contemporary dance phrases based on the stimulus of ‘being stuck in a continual loop and finally breaking free’. The dancers were challenged physically, learning many new dynamic dance tricks as well as working in a different count form of six.
The dancers will continue to shape their examination performance quartet in their A Level lessons, with Shaun returning later in the year to see their progression and to add more challenge.
