Year 6 Boundless Biomes
This term has seen Year 6 cover a new topic: Biomes. Learning about the way the earth is divided into discrete geographical areas has allowed them to develop a deeper understanding of the dangers of climate change.
Girls have given speeches discouraging shopaholics, researched the adaptation of plants and drawn maps to support their learning.
For the final challenge of term they were asked to create David Attenborough style documentaries or 3D models of the Eden project.
They have also extended their learning by imaging what a new biome might look like, designing animals and plants based on climate and environment.
