Ukraine Appeal
Headington’s community together with other local schools have been collecting essential items for British Ukrainian Aid this week.
The group have been trying to act fast and get support to affected areas as soon as possible. The focus of the current appeal is to provide support to those who are currently at the Shehyni border crossing.
More than 3400 items were collected for the appeal in just two days including food, nappies, clothing, toiletries and more.
The items were due to leave Oxford on the evening of Friday 4th March however due to the phenomenal response throughout Oxford, additional funds are needed to help with the logistics including the transport costs and lorry hire. If you would like to donate or simply share this link with family and friends, it would be much appreciated.
Mr David Cunningham, Head of Charities at Headington School said: “We greatly appreciate the generosity shown by the Headington community at this challenging time.”
A number of other activities are going on in school to support the appeal. U4 girls were due to hold a bake sale on Wednesday 9th March to raise funds for the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal. You can contribute to the appeal here.
