Year 2 trip to Warwick Castle
Year 2 girls had a fantastic trip to Warwick Castle on Tuesday 1st March.
The girls started exploring the grounds by walking the Attack and Defence Battlements trail. There were lots of steep, dark and narrow spiral staircases to climb to get to the top of its many towers. When they got to the top, they enjoyed a great view of the castle grounds and the River Avon below.
After a packed lunch by the river, the girls watched the Winter Birds of Prey show, learning why these amazing birds were often kept and how they were treasured.
They then had a talk all about ‘Castle Life’ to get an idea of what it was really life to live at Warwick Castle. Year 2 loved the opportunity to go into a real castle and get a sense of castle life for themselves.
