A Visit from UN Habitat Team
Headington School was pleased and honoured to host a visit from Maimunah Mohd Sharif, the Executive Director of UN Habitat.
She came and gave an inspiring address to the girls of the L5 and Sixth Form on Friday 11th March, sharing her ideas, her journey and her work at UN Habitat. This was followed by an informative Q&A with Sixth Form students who asked probing questions about current international affairs and the sustainable development work of UN Habitat.
Mr William Burstow, History and Politics teacher and lead organiser, said: “This was a fantastic opportunity for the girls to hear more about what a global civil servant, to use Maimunah’s words, actually does.
“I know many were inspired by Maimunah’s life story and I hope this has given our sixth formers something to ponder regarding how they can make a positive contribution to the world.”
