Maclaurin Mathematical Olympiad 2022

Two gifted mathematicians have demonstrated impressive skills after being invited to take part in a prestigious national contest.

Judy (U5) and Kiki’s (U5) performances in the UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge earlier this year earned them an invitation to compete in the heralded Maclaurin Mathematical Olympiad in March 2022.

The results were as follows. Kiki received a merit award for her high score while Judy was one of the top 20 highest scores in the country so she will receive a gold medal and a book prize!

Mrs Sarah Sandys, Head of Maths at Headington, said: “We are very proud of both girls’ achievements on these ‘hard maths’ problems!!”
