Day of Drawing 2022
As part of Headington’s Festival of Creativity, the entire school took part in a ‘drawing to learn day’.
Teachers and pupils were challenged to use drawing as a tool for learning in every lesson. It forced both girls and staff to get inventive when looking at ways of reviewing, interpreting and presenting information. Maps, diagrams, storyboards and drawing from observation were all used to great effect.
Mrs Tova Dalgleish, Director of Art, said: “Thank you to everyone who embraced the Day of Drawing Challenge. There were some wonderfully creative drawing activities going on across the School and I hope it enabled girls and staff to look into different techniques of learning.
“I hope everyone enjoyed the challenge and might think about using more drawing in various lessons in the future!”
