Year 6 DC Beagle Maths challenge success
On Thursday 9th November, four Year 6 pupils took part in the DC Beagle Maths Challenge at St Edward’s School, Oxford.
They really enjoyed the day and worked hard at all the Maths questions and challenges that were presented. Both teams performed brilliantly, with Aira and Sara gaining eighth position and Lily-May and Haylie coming in third. Given there were 47 teams competing, this was a brilliant result and their combined scores left Headington finishing in second position overall.
Josh Batty, Maths Subject Leader, said: “It was a great afternoon where the girls coped well with the fast paced Maths problems and surrounding pressures of competition. It was great to see them pushing themselves with a smile across their faces.’
