Tamsin Greenway Coaching Masterclass
An ex-England international netballer and three-time Commonwealth Games medallist shared her knowledge of the game with some of Headington’s young netballers.
Tamsin Greenway visited the School on Monday 11th March to impart her knowledge of the court to keen Headington School athletes.
She began her visit with a talk on pressure to Sports Scholars, pupils on the Athlete Development Programme and U14A Netball team in preparation for their upcoming National Tournament.
She spoke about dealing with pressured situations and anecdotally about some important sporting occasions she had been in and how she had learned some of these techniques.
Following this, Tamsin coached a session with a select group of U15 and U14 players with an attacking focus and then after school with senior players and U14s for a defensive session.
PE teacher Mrs Victoria Cathcart said it was a pleasure to welcome the sportswoman.
She said: “All pupils enjoyed meeting an ex-international player and current U19NPL coach.
“Tamsin was kind enough to give her signature to many of the students – most of them opting for their trainers!”
