Lily Owsley OLY Visit
Headington’s Hockey players welcomed a GB player to share her expertise with them.
Head of Hockey and Acting Director of Sport Mr Alex Williams described the visit from Lily Owsley OLY as a “highlight of the season” and a “privilege”.
Lily brought with her some exciting drills that she and the Great Britain’s women’s team have been working on at Bisham Abbey.
Lily Owsley, winner of Olympic Gold and Bronze and Commonwealth Games Gold, worked with nearly 150 Headington Hockey players throughout the day on Thursday 21st March.
The day finished with an interactive psychology session for Hockey players and Sports Scholars, thinking about what their ‘why’ is for playing Hockey and other sports.
