Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland Ballet
The magic of Lewis Carroll came to Headington with a very special ballet performance.
While working towards their Royal Academy of Dance ballet exams, Headington’s ballet pupils put on their production of “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” to two sell out audiences.
From the Year 1s dancing as the River and Meadow where Alice spots the White Rabbit, to the most advanced dancers performing the much-loved caterpillar dance, over 120 dancers took part from both the Prep and Senior school.
Alice was played by U6 student Ellie, who showed tremendous stamina and beautiful technique, with two Year 4 pupils, Imogen and Tilly, performing the role of Little Alice alongside her.
Ballet teacher Miss Elspeth Wilson said: “It was a lovely opportunity for students across both parts of the School to work together and develop friendships. The big question now is what show is next!”
