Showcasing Careers at HRO
As part of Headington Rye’s drive to promote oracy and careers awareness, the L6 Science Ambassadors took the courageous step of researching and presenting talks on STEM careers to the whole of Year 9.
Covering the skills and talents required in roles from marine conservation and robotics to cosmetic chemistry, the presenters did a superb job of highlighting a variety of less obvious but nonetheless important careers using science.
Year 9 pupils quickly took the opportunity to probe further during the Q&A sessions asking a broad range of questions about GCSE & A Level options, university courses and how the ambassadors were planning life after school.
