Police visit Year 1
Year 1 pupils were excited to welcome their local neighbourhood police team to school.
As part of their Superheroes topic, this provided a great opportunity to meet one of their real-life superheroes in person and understand better what they do on a normal day.
The officers explained what superhero skills they need to use during their day such as careful listening, talking calmly and being kind and helpful.
The children had the opportunity to wear some of the police uniform and safety equipment and tested the lights and sirens on the van.
It was a great reminder of all the incredible things that police do to keep everybody safe throughout the year.
