Research with Sameera Shabir

Students had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the world of psychological research during an inspiring talk by Ms. Sameera Shabir, a research assistant at the Oxford Brain Health Centre, University of Oxford.

“On Thursday 30th January, Ms Sameera Shabir, shared the myriad of work she does as a research assistant with us, including data collection, ethics application, and public and patient engagement.

“She also introduced the Oxford Brain Health Clinic to us and the advanced research and assessments the clinic offers.

“Lastly, she shared her career path on becoming a researcher and offered career advice to the aspiring psychologists in the room.

“The talk has broadened our horizons on the diverse careers available in psychology, it inspired and informed us, but mainly inspired many of us to consider pursuing a career in research.”
