Schools’ Equestrian
Representing Headington School, Cecily, in L4, took part in the Schools’ Equestrian 80cm one day eventing qualifier at Elmwood Equestrian Centre in Oxford on Friday 3rd June.
Competing over the three disciplines of Dressage, Show Jumping and Cross Country, Cecily was in a strong field of over 50 competitors from schools across Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire.
Competing on her 16’1 Irish Sports Horse – Second General, Cecily scored an impressive personal best dressage score before jumping clear in both the Show Jumping and the challenging Cross Country course. With just a few time penalties on the Cross Country, Cecily finished an incredible sixth place and, in doing so, qualified for the Schools’ Equestrian Games Championship at Calmsden in October.
