IAPS Swimming 2019
Congratulations to the Under 11 team of Neretva, Jessica, Chloe and Ellie, for qualifying for the National Finals to be held at the Olympic Pool on Saturday 6th June. With approx 300 schools taking part in this competition and only 20 relays teams and 20 individuals qualifying the competition is extremely tough. In the relays the Under 11s have qualified in 8th place in the medley and 10th in the freestyle. In the individual events Chloe qualified in 13th (butterfly) and Jessica in 18th (breaststroke). In the freestyle Ellie was placed 39th and Neretva 50th.
The Under 10s swam their hardest but found the competition challenging and should be very proud of all the work they have put in practising relays, changeovers and individual strokes to cope with the meeting run under ASA competition standards. The highest placed swimmer was Freya in breaststroke finishing in 57th, Ciara was placed 112th in the fly, Emma 114th in freestyle and Inju 150th in the back crawl. They were placed 107th in the freestyle relay. Well done girls!
