UNESCO Periodic Table Competition
Five Headington girls have taken a playful look at the periodic table as part of a national competition.
Izzy, Abbie, Rebecca, Nadine and Elinor have produced a stunning entry in the competition run by the UK Chemical Industry to celebrate the UNESCO International Year of the Periodic Table.
The aim of the competition is to encourage entrants to think about the importance of the periodic table and why the elements are vital to understand in modern life. The brief was to recreate the periodic table clearly showing an aspect of its structure. The girls created a customised lab coat featuring the various chemical symbols.
Head of Chemistry Mrs Rachel Luney said: “We wish them every success in the competition.”
