Trip to the Houses of Parliament
The Year 6 girls were extremely fortunate to experience a busy working day in the Houses of Parliament on Wednesday 12th June. They were able to witness two very topical, live debates in both the House of Lords and the House of Commons with John Bercow in action as the Speaker; some saw familiar and well-known politicians wondering around the busy hallways of the magnificent building; and some of the girls even tried to get seen in a televised news report! To top off their fascinating experience, they were treated to a face-to-face visit in the education centre, by Headington’s very own MP, Anneliese Dodds, who was so impressed with them, she sent out a glowing message about their enthusiasm on Twitter!
