U10 & U11 Hockey v Rye St Antony
U10 & U11 Hockey v Rye St Antony – Monday 7th October 2019
U11 Hockey v Rye
Drew 1 – 1
Players of the match: Surina, Sofia and Lily
This was a challenging game but the U11s started brightly, scoring in the first half and showing some good attacking play. They passed the ball with power and became more confident as the game went on. Rye put the pressure on Headington in the second half and despite some heroic saves by Sofia, the girls conceded a goal with a few minutes to go. It was an exciting match to watch with the ball going from end to end!
U10 v Rye
Won 6 – 1
Players of the match: Elsa and Olive
This was a dominant display by the U10 team who showed that they learnt a huge amount from their hockey tournament last week. Sophie and Natasha were strong defensively and showed good passing from the back. The two players voted the player of the match, Olive and Elsa, showed great teamwork and stretched the game by staying closer to the goal. A great game of Hockey. Well played everyone.
