Headington v St Andrew’s Monday 18th November
On Monday Headington faced tough opposition from St Andrew’s. The Under 11s faced the all boys team who demonstrated just a little more speed which enabled them to move the ball quickly and they made the most of their chances. Headington then settled to defend with determination to clear the ball out of danger. They had several chances to score which were foiled by the St Andrews defence. Lottie Trinder was the player of the match.
In the Under 10 game in order to make the game fair two HPS players played for St Andrew’s throughout. The Under 10s linked well to create several goal scoring opportunities throughout the game and were unlucky not to score. The St Andrew’s team scored at the end of the first half. In the second half St Andrew’s grew in confidence putting the HPS defence under pressure. The defence played very well clearing the ball away from danger and Mariyah made numerous saves in goal. Olive Bekker and Mariyah Khalid were the players of the match.
