Classics Trip to British museum

Girls studying Latin, Greek and Classical Civilisation in U5 & above visited the Troy: Myth and Reality exhibition at the British Museum in London.

The visit aimed to complement their study of Homer and Virgil’s epic works. Students were able to examine the evidence from the Ancient World, as well as look at more modern interpretations of the myth of Troy. Girls also had a chance to see many of the prescribed sources they are studying in GCSE Classical Civilisation.

Mrs Louise Workman, Head of Classics, said: “The girls had an amazing time visiting the exhibition and if you enjoy Classics, this is definitely an exhibition to see!”
