Big Schools’ Birdwatch
On Wednesday 29th January 115 girls took part in the Big Schools’ Birdwatch at Headington Prep. With binoculars and clipboards in hand, the girls sat quietly and watched with excitement and enthusiasm, observing the colours and shapes of the birds to identify them. Over the course of the day they spotted 21 different species and over 1,000 birds! They were also very excited to see the smallest bird in the UK in our school grounds and listen to it sing a beautiful tune – if you are not sure what that is, ask your daughter! Well done to everyone that took part.
