Connecting with Parents
With the busy lives families lead today and the wide geographical area from which girls come to Headington, it can be difficult to get to know lots of parents from your daughter’s class. To help with this we organise a range of social opportunities for parents in school and we encourage parents to join Classlist, which allows parents to connect and communicate with each other online. To ensure lines of communication between parents and the School are strong, we also invite volunteer parents to attend parent representative meetings in school, where parents can put forward their views and suggestions on a range of topics.
Parent Representatives
Parent Representatives act as a link between families in their daughter’s year group and the Headmistress and other senior staff.
Meetings are arranged with discussions centering around specific themes and Parent Representatives are encouraged to seek wider views before coming into school to meet with senior staff.
Get to know your fellow Parents
Becoming a Parent Representative is a really good way to get to know lots of other parents, to help build our wider Headington community and to find out more about what’s going on at our school. We really value input from our parents and we’ve found this to be a good way of giving parents a direct opportunity to talk to senior staff about questions they may have on all kinds of important issues.
We would always love to hear from parents who would be interested in taking on this important role. Contact our PA to the First Deputy.
