100k in 30 days

Hello my name is Olivia and I ran 100 kilometres in 30 days. This is what inspired me.

I was sitting on the couch with my family watching Children in Need when the “Sir Terry Wogan” award for Young Fundraiser of the Year was presented and I thought I wanted to be part of this.

That night I started brainstorming ideas of what I could do. At first it was a marathon in a month but I wanted to do more, my parents suggested that I do 50 km in 30 days but I again wanted to do more. I told them that I wanted to run 100 km in 30 days and they thought I was a bit mad but I still did it.

Sometimes when I got home from school I would be tired and wouldn’t want to run but I had to power through and before I knew it I was more than halfway there!

With encouragement from my family and friends and a few long runs I managed to complete my challenge. I was also very proud being able to raise £2,000 for the charity.
