Pirate School in Year 2

Year 2 had a fantastic time at Pirate School on Wednesday 26th February. In the morning they enjoyed learning how to tie knots, make ship’s biscuits, plan a treasure map, design a flag and learn about navigation. Then the pace slowed in the afternoon a little and the girls enjoyed a treasure hunt outside, some pirate yoga, singing sea shanties and a pirate story. The girls had some amazing costumes and really entered into the spirit of the day, inventing pirate names and sharing stories with each other about how they had become pirates! A great start to the Land Ahoy topic.
