Girls ‘Explore’ faith
Thirty girls from across the School joined together for a fun evening coming together as a community to explore their faith.
The girls, from U3 to U6, spent the Explore event swimming, eating and engaging in group game challenges and a very tough quiz – as well as listening to a former staff member give an account of what their priorities might be.
Explore is one of the ways in which we build community across the years at school. Explore provides the opportunity to go deeper in friendship and in faith.
Susie Townsend, a former graduate assistant at Headington who now works for a charity called Lymington Rushmore (a charity who organise activity holidays and which about 15 – 20 of our girls go on each year) spoke on the difference between Martha and Mary from the gospel account of Luke 10.
The discussion on what our priorities should be (rather than often are) was one of relevance to those in the earliest years of senior school as well to the oldest.
The Rev Tom Howell, School Chaplain, said: “It was a great evening from the profound to the pizza.”
