Art Trip to Vienna 2019
Eighteen Art and Textiles students from L5-L6 visited Vienna during May half term to spend time exploring the plethora of cultural highlights in Austria’s beautiful capital city.
The girls explored the world-famous Prater, an array of museums including Kunst Haus Wien, the Albertina, the Theatre Museum and the Leopold Museum and also enjoyed traditional Austrian fare along with visiting the Lipizzaner horses at the renowned Spanish Riding School.
They also had a chance to dine at Sigmund Freud’s old haunt, Café Einstein, a key meeting place of the Viennese intellectual scene in the late 19th century, and to explore the Nachtmarkt and the Gothic church of St Stephen’s Cathedral.
