Ashmolean Trip
On Wednesday 26th June, L5 Classical Civilisation and Greek pupils went to the Ashmolean Museum to extend their understanding of the ancient world.
Learning about Knossos, Mycenae, and the wider ancient Greek and Roman worlds, those studying Greek gained background knowledge of their Homer set text whilst Classical Civilisation students were able to view many of their prescribed sources.
They particularly enjoyed playing ‘spot the ancient deity’ when looking at Greek vases and the trip ended with the traditional photo in front of the Augustus of Prima Porta statue.
