Baking Bonanza
Staff and pupils have been baking up a storm for a virtual competition.
The new Head Girl trio launched the contest, aimed at getting everyone involved in a fun activity and connected during remote learning.
Cakes, biscuits, loaves and rolls were baked in kitchens all over Oxfordshire – and much further afield – as girls and staff vied to be crowned winners.
An impressive 37 entries were received across the school and the winners were announced as:
Lower School
Winner: Lori, for her rainbow cake for the NHS
Second: Iona for her hedgehog cake dedicated to NHS workers
Third: Grace for her teddy bear cake for the NHS

Middle School:
Winner: Yagu for her orange cheesecake
Second: Maia for her chocolate cupcakes
Third: Lucy for her chocolate chip cookies
Sixth Form:
Winner: Lucy for her rainbow cupcakes
Second: Ellie for her rocky road cupcakes
Third: Ella for her gluten-free banana bread

Staff:
Winner: Mr Vlachonikolis for his mini cinnamon doughnuts
Second: Miss Knott for her cheesecake swirl brownies
Third: Ms Lees for her Bakewell tart

Mrs Campbell for submitting three separate bakes: two sourdough rolls and a cheesecake and Mr Nichols for making bread and butter pudding for the first time in 34 years!
The bakes were judged based on appearance by the Head Girl trio.
Head of Boarding Juliet Barnard said: “We had so much fun picking out the winners and there was some really great competition! We hope everyone enjoyed taking part and will engage in some of the other competitions that we will be holding later on in the term.”
