Blue Boy Dance Workshop
On Wednesday 20th November, Headington Rye Oxford street dancers had an incredible opportunity to work with Kenrick Sandy, co-founder and co-Artistic Director of Boy Blue and choreographer of the GCSE Dance work ‘Emancipation of Expressionism’.
Boy Blue is one of the UK’s leading hip hop theatre companies and has over 25 years of talent development, touring and education work.
The dancers really enjoyed the class and were taught a range of exercises and techniques unique to Boy Blue’s formula and repertoire.
Sixth Form dancers Eleanor and Norni said: “We really enjoyed the experience of getting to work with a professional practitioner that we have previously studied at GCSE.
“The class had a really fun energy and challenged us in new ways. Kenrick brought a really good energy into the space, making us feel comfortable and confident in trying new ways of moving.”
