BTEC Unit Success

Headington Rye Oxford’s first ever L6 cohort of BTEC Enterprise & Entrepreneurship students have achieved a 100% success rate in their first assessments.

BTEC students sit a series of unit assessments during their two-year course, as well as meeting various coursework deadlines. In early January, the class of seven sat their first exam on marketing – all of them passing with flying colours.

In the U6, Claudia recorded a distinction in her penultimate BTEC assessment: business and personal finance.

Head of Business and Economics, Mr Cy Webber, said: “This is a wonderful set of results”.

Mr George Vlachonikolis, Assistant Head and Teacher of Economics and Finance, said: “The students were really pleased today.

“It gives us all the added motivation to attack the next unit with high energy. The next unit for the L6 is the personal finance unit, so we’re learning all about ISAs, equities markets and premium bonds right now.”
