Carnival workshop

Year 1 had a fantastic start to their new topic of Rio de Vida, with a Carnival workshop. Wearing their own colourful carnival headdresses they learnt a variety of Samba dances and put them together to make their own routine on stage. They also shared their knowledge of Brazil in a quiz and heard traditional stories that they later depicted through dance. It certainly was an energetic, exciting way to introduce the topic and they can’t wait to find out more this term.
