Charlotte Fencing Success
A Headington fencer is celebrating after successfully competing at her first British Cadet Selection event.
Charlotte (L5) took part in the event at the Leon Paul Centre on Saturday 17th June 2023.
After lots of fierce and impressive fencing Charlotte finished an absolutely exceptional 10th, beating the current nationally ranked 13th, 11th and third seeds along the way.
Charlotte won all her fights in the second round poule – which included another impressive match against the third seed nationally – who true to seeding, finished with a bronze medal at this event.
Head of Fencing Mrs Jenny Douglas said: “This is a brilliant result and makes her a force to be reckoned with at National level. Well done Charlotte!”
