Chemistry Olympiad 2019
In January, many of Headington’s Sixth Form chemists took part in the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Olympiad competition. This is a problem-solving contest where students pit their brains against difficult chemistry questions inspired by the world around them.
Head of Chemistry Mrs Rachel Luney said: “We’re delighted to announce that a record seven students were awarded silver certificates – this was especially impressive from Jiashen and Janet who are both in L6 when the Olympiad is a prestigious event designed for U6 students.
“Seven further students were awarded a bronze certificate and 13 others received certificates of participation.”
Well done to all those who took part.
