Community Engagement Day
Headington School went off timetable to spend the morning focusing on their school, local and global community.
Community Engagement Day, on Tuesday 29th June, was the culmination of the School’s Year of Community, which aimed at both strengthening bonds within the school community but also encouraging girls to look outwards at the wider community.
Projects undertaken ranged from litter picking to creating a community quilt, from mapping unmapped global communities to contributing to an international cookbook.
Head of Charities and Communities Mr David Cunningham said: “We have been overwhelmed by the engagement and enthusiasm and we are very proud of the whole school community and what we have achieved during our Year of Community.”
