Cross Country at The Manor Prep – Thursday 26th September 2019
On another wet day, Headington Prep attended the Manor Prep School Cross Country meeting. It was their second meeting within a week and they knew this one would be tough so they were both excited and nervous. The U8s headed to the start, just as the rain started to come, but that didn’t dampen their spirits or excitement, with Eve coming back in 7th, closely followed by Amadea, 8th and Abby, 12th. In the U9s the rain had slowed and they all ran fantastically, with Pia placed in 3rd, Alex, 6th, Dana, 15th closely followed by Emily in 16th. After a long wait to run, in the U10s Chrissy finished 3rd, Sophie in 16th and Izzy in 34th the under 11s finally got their chance, with Agatha in 3rd (beating many of the boys too), Emma in 13th and Clara in 21st. A special mention to Sophie in the U10s who ran all the way round looking after a competitor from another school who did not feel well.
Well done to all the runners that took part-they all ran very well and still had smiles at the end, despite the conditions!
