Cross Country at the Manor Prep
On Friday 26th January, 24 girls from Year 3 to Year 6 attended the Manor Spring Cross Country Meet. It was perfect running conditions and with over 40 girls in each event it was going to be very competitive.
The Year 3 girls started off the event with huge success, gaining the team the silver position. The Year 4s went one better by achieving team gold and Alice took home the individual gold. Not to be out done by her sister, Kitty also took home the individual gold, leading the team onto the silver medal. Finally the Year 6s ran and, even with two having to pull out with injury and illness, the remaining girls still finished a very respectable sixth from nine teams.
They all ran superbly well and in the end achieved overall silver! Congratulations to every runner.
