Cross Country relays at St Hugh’s
With the weather conditions perfect for running, a very excited Cross Country team consisting of 23 Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 girls, made their way to St Hugh’s School in Faringdon.
They got there in plenty of time so were able to walk the course and have a good warm up before the opening race. The event was run in a relay format.
The Year 3 runners completed the race first, then it was the turn of the Year 4 pupils, followed by Year 5 and and lastly Year 6. F
rom the the very first race you could see that the runners were determined to do well as they showed a tremendous amount of grit and determination. There was also lots of friendly encouragement from all the pupils who weren’t running at that time. All the runners should be really proud of their achievements and a special mention to the Year 4 girls for taking the top spot.
The final standings at the end of the Races were:
Year 3 – 2nd
Year 4 – 1st
Year 5 – 6th
Year 6 – 5th
