Fencer competes in Paris

A Headington fencer has taken part in her first international U17 competition.

Darcy, L5, travelled to Paris to compete in the Challenge CEP Marathon Foil competition. She was the youngest fencer on the England squad and made it through to the fourth round before being knocked out by an Israeli fencer.

Her mother said: “Darcy did very well and it was a great experience that she can build on.”
