Fencers win medals
Headington fencers picked up a series of medals in the Bucks, Berks and Oxon (BBO) County Epee and Sabre competition.
The competition was held on Sunday 10th November at the Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe.
Ellie (L4), Alexandra (L5), Tegen (U5) and Eloise (L6) competed in both Epee and Sabre contests while Jacky (L5), Maya (U4) and Mika (U4) competed in the Sabre only.
Tegen was the U18 stand out performer on the day, taking gold in the Sabre while she was also runner-up in the Epee. Eloise fought to take bronze in the Sabre.
Headington dominated the U16 Sabre – Alex won gold, Mika took silver while Jack and Maya both took bronze. Alex also took gold for the U16 Epee.
Ellie succeeded in gaining the gold for U14 Sabre.
